About Michelle

Hi, I’m Michelle — a lifelong creative and passionate coin collector based in the heart of the Rockies. I’ve always been fascinated by the tiny details that carry big stories, and Canadian coins are no exception. This site began as a personal project to organize my own collection and has grown into a resource to help others discover the same joy and curiosity.

How it all started

My love for coins began with a handful of pennies and a microscope. Over time, I found myself drawn to the craftsmanship, history, and quiet beauty in each piece. Canadian coins, in particular, felt like little time capsules — each one tied to a moment, a place, a story.

After years of collecting and researching, I realized I wanted to share that knowledge with others — not in a flashy, overwhelming way, but through a calm and accessible space where collectors of all levels can explore and learn.

Canadian-Coins.ca was created to make coin collecting feel approachable, enjoyable, and informative. Whether you're brand new to the hobby or you’ve inherited a family collection and aren’t sure where to start, my goal is to offer helpful tools, guides, and insights to support your journey.

Outside of coin collecting, I’m an artist, a nature lover, and a bit of a dreamer. I believe in curiosity, craftsmanship, and lifelong learning — and I try to bring all of that into the work I do here.

Coin collecting may not seem glamorous at first glance, but I’ve always been captivated by the quiet beauty of these small pieces of metal. To me, coins are tiny time travelers — carrying history, art, geography, and politics in the palm of your hand.

Thanks for being here — I hope this space helps you enjoy the magic and meaning tucked into every coin.
